Property Tax Relief Grant

The Property Tax Relief Grant allows school districts to abate and give back tax dollars to their specific community. While agreeing to abate tax dollars, the state will give back a specific dollar amount to the Districts through Evidence Based Funding.

 Districts would have to apply for the grant through ISBE. If approved, they would need to work with their county assessors office to abate taxes. Below is the link from ISBE that talks about the grant in more detail.
